An NCSF study package is a great way to get started in your healthcare career. Each package includes instructor support, as well an online study portal. Units of continuing education

Continuing education credits are units earned through continuing educational programs. Credits for continuing education are given to college courses completed within a specific timeframe. These courses must all be accredited. Each college credit will earn one CEU. CEUs are also awarded for professional development activities. These activities include professional presentations and industry committee work. Individuals may earn up to five CEUs from these activities.

The NCSF requires exercise professionals who are certified to recertify once every two years. This is done to ensure compliance of current standards and code of conduct with new data. Each individual must complete 10 continuing educational units to renew NCSF Certification by CEUS. The NCSF approves continuing education credits. They must be earned through a recognized educational institution. If the NCSF does not approve a course, the applicant may appeal their disqualification.


Exam fee

If you want to keep your credential current, you can apply for recertification through NCSF. Recertification fees for one credential are $75 and for multiple credentials, $100. Your application can be submitted online. It will take 3 to 5 business day for NCSF processing to complete it. Your credential status will be updated after that and it will continue to be valid for two more years. The recertification package includes a new ID card, updated certificate, and information about future CEUs.

Prometric offers the NCSF exam. You can make an appointment online or in person at a testing center. If you have an internet connection, you can take the exam from anywhere in the world. The exam is comprised of 150 multiple choice questions. The cost of the exam will vary depending on where you take it. If you wish to take your exam in your home, the NCSF will charge a different fee than if it is at a Prometric testing centre.

A majority of fitness certifications incorporate basic considerations for training specific populations, such as children, pregnant women, and people with chronic diseases. The NCSF only has one chapter dedicated to the topic. In one 15-page chapter, the NCSF covers only a few special populations - diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and working with children.
